Flashback Friday

I figured since it seems like it’s been a while that I’ve posted on here that anything can be considered for a “Flashback Friday” post. It’s definitely been a while and for some reason I feel like I’ve neglected posting anything for Ryu, but that’s not really the case. With the Holidays towards the end of the year and with so much happening in our home lives I’ve just been sort of busy trying to organize everything. I’m still in the process of trying to plug in old posts on here just for my sake of having something keeping track of Ryu’s life. It’s nice to be able to look back on his growth and of course the moments we share together as a family.

Let’s start with the Flashback Friday.. I’m going way back and let’s start from Christmas. I’m glad Ryu had a successful Christmas! Seriously, I don’t really care whether I receive any gifts as long as my son get’s the proper Christmas he deserves. He got tons of gifts from our friends and family and he’s absolutely enjoying all his brand new toys. He’s so spoiled he even got a basketball set this Christmas courtesy of my mother. I’ll post pictures of that once he’s feeling much better. Here’s are pictures from our Christmas Eve.

I was very happy that Ryu got the concept of Christmas (well sort of). I don’t think that I’ve ever felt so much more excited for Ryu having to have this wonderful holiday. I love that he got to spend time with his grandparents and with just family in general. Lately, it just seems like our family is quite dysfunctional, but honestly what family isn’t? I was just glad that for one evening we can all put our problems aside and just enjoy the moment.

Here are a couple pictures of my baby.

Flashback Friday; Ryu says “Green”

I’m glad that even if these clips are old that his Ninong (Godfather) is still making the effort to post it up. It gives me some type of compilation of what I’m missing out. My little man is growing so fast and sometimes I just can’t even believe he’s my baby. I still get sort of shocked from time to time thinking, “WOW! I’m a mother! I have this innocent life to take care of. I have this little person that I absolutely adore with all my heart”. Seriously, becoming a “new” parent is hard. The transition of taking care of a newborn being introduced to your life is life changing. Not knowing what’s next can become difficult, but it’s all a learning process. Sometimes we make mistakes, but that’s the beauty if it.

The pictures are all taken by his Ninong as well. These are some pictures taken before Ryu got his haircut.

Flashback Friday

This is a good post for Fridays due to the fact that lately I’ve been lagging on posting anything. This actually works out in my favor and I’ll be able to just strictly blog about Ryu all day long. If you’re wondering I do have tons of pictures of Ryu waiting, but I still have to edit them and  post them up.

Alright, these pictures aren’t really that old. They were taken sometime this month. However, I haven’t really gotten around to posting them due to me being sick and busy the last couple weeks. Can you all believe it’s already the end of October? Another new month is about to start and seriously I have no idea where the time’s gone by? I feel like I’m still missing out on some of the good or even bad days Ryu has. My baby is just growing up so fast and I’m not quite sure I’m ready for the small changes that has been happening here and there.

If there’s one thing I love it’s taking pictures of Ryu when were home. I feel like he’s more in his comfort zone and the great part about it is that he absolutely loves getting his picture taken. He seems to just sit there and pose for the camera. It’s also such a treat for him when you show him his pictures. He lights up like a Christmas tree and absolutely giggles to his own photos. Ryu I hope you appreciate being able to look back at your hundreds of pictures when you get older. You’re a wonderful little boy, what makes it all even better is that you’re all mine.

Like Nani’s recent post for her “Flashback Friday” she talks about being Sae being able to fit in an old sweater. The shirt Ryu is wearing in this picture was given to him by my sister (aunt/godmother) sometime earlier this year. The shirt was actually meant for 9 mo. old infant. I noticed that majority of Ryu’s shirts are for infants around 6-9 mo. I think it’s about that time we take Ryu shopping, and I can’t wait til Black Friday cause I’m going to make it a point that it’s Ryu’s shopping day. It’s about time we upgrade his wardrobe to much more flattering and form fitting clothes rather than clothes his tummy is sticking out of, haha. I love this shirt on Ryu, but I know I’ll have to part with this shirt since he’s just getting way too old for it. Anyway, enjoy some of the photos I took of Ryu at home wearing this Paul Frank top.
